Recommended / Recommendation Power Kites for Beginners
What advice for power kites can I give to beginners? The following kites I would highly recommend beginners to buy:
- HQ Symphony Beach
– very cheap, beginners-friendly. I let my students fly it.

Recommendation Suitable Lines / Line sets made of Dyneema for larger power kites over 2 m wingspan or 1.5-m2 surface / kite string – flying line
However, I recommend to use stronger flying lines for medium and large two-line power kites. Power kites over 2 m wingspan or ca. 1,5 qm2 surface should be equipped with at least 150 kp, better 175 kp, lines, so that the lines may not tear by a wind speed of 4 – 5 m/s.
2-line power kites with 2,5 m wingspan or more require at least 150 kp breaking load. I had once a string torn because it was too weak – it wasn´t funny! Think of gusts – they generate pulsating loads. 25 m – 30 m cords are ok.
